What is IBO Player?
IBO Player is a third-party player app that has become one of the most popular ways to stream on Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) Smart TVs. It's a simple, remote-friendly interface for live TV and on-demand. The app carries no content of its own — your IrelandTV subscription supplies the service.
IBO works a little differently from login-based players: instead of a username and password, your TV has a device ID, and your IrelandTV playlist is attached to that ID. It sounds technical — it isn't. Send us the two codes the app shows you, and we do it for you as part of setup.

Is IBO Player free?
The app offers a free trial period; after that, its developer charges a small one-time activation fee per device. That fee goes to the app maker, not to us — and your IrelandTV trial is still completely free either way.
Where do I find the MAC address and device key?
They appear on the IBO Player start screen the first time you open it. Take a photo of your TV screen and include the codes in the trial form's device field, or email them to support — either works.
My TV is older — will it work?
Most Samsung TVs from 2016 on and LG TVs from 2018 on carry the app. The quickest way to check is to search your TV's app store — if IBO Player is there, you're good. If not, we'll recommend an alternative.
Can I move IBO Player to a new TV later?
Yes. Install the app on the new TV, send us the new codes, and we'll move your playlist across. Your IrelandTV subscription itself never changes.
